Our mission is simple: To uplift, empower, and honor the Black community in Clarksville through programs, events, and initiatives that foster unity, pride, and growth. In a city that’s ever-evolving, Black Clarksville strives to be a dynamic force that reflects the changes in our community, state, and the world.
What We Do
Community Events: We organize and host a variety of events throughout the year, from cultural festivals and Black-Owned business markets to networking mixers and family-friendly gatherings. These events are designed to bring people together, showcase the diversity of Black experiences, and create lasting memories.
Supporting Black-Owned Businesses: We recognize the vital role that Black-owned businesses play in the economy and culture of our community. Black Clarksville offers business listings, networking opportunities, and spotlight features to help these businesses grow and thrive. We are committed to supporting local entrepreneurs and driving economic empowerment.
Celebrating Black Culture: Whether it’s through music, movies, food, or art, we are passionate about sharing the beauty and richness of Black culture with everyone in Clarksville. Our events and programs are designed to foster an appreciation for the traditions, stories, and innovations that have shaped not only our community but also the broader cultural landscape.

As an organization, we're organized for purpose, not profits. Our 501c3 partner organization, known as Black Clarksville Inc. , accepts fully tax-deductible donations, as allowed by the IRS.
Tiff Perkins is the founder of Black Clarksville. She is a graduate of Kenwood High School with a Bachelor of Science in Communication from THE University of Tennessee.
With a background in marketing, civic engagement, and events and her LOVE for the city, Tiff founded Black Clarksville in 2019 as a central place for the culture by the culture.
