Power And Grace Preparatory Academy Benefit Gala

April 27, 2023 Power And Grace Preparatory Academy will host their annual Educational Excellence Benefit Gala. The gala will take place from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

The gala is an annual school fundraiser that will assist the academy with expanding its campus located at 337 Peterson Lane and expanding its established scholarship endowment fund.

Through this event, Power And Grace Preparatory Academy hopes to encourage young girls of color to consider further education and a career in S.T.E.A.M.

Attendees Can expect a student theatrical presentation of the book Jubali and the Quest for The Golden Crown by Mrs. Oliver and Dr. Pritchett and a keynote from Dr. J’Tia Hart.

Dr. J’Tia Hart is the director of Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Nuclear Nonproliferation Division. In this role, she leads a team of scientists, engineers, and researchers and oversees a $150 million program to advance nuclear material detection and forensics methods; perform arms treaty verification activities; grow nuclear cybersecurity expertise and adoption; and develop nuclear security and safeguards technology.

Prior to this role, Dr. Hart served as the chief scientist for INL’s National and Homeland Security directorate.

Power And Grace Preparatory Academy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in its 9th year of existence. They are a nationally accredited organization with Cognia. Power And Grace Preparatory Academy educates students in Pre-kindergarten- 6th grades. They anticipate reaching their highest grade level of 8th grade over the next 2 years.
