Spill the Tea on Black Mental Health

May is national mental health awareness month. As an organization for the culture, black mental health is something that is near and dear to our hearts. As we pursue that avenue with programs a big push for us has been partnerships that promote the mental health initiatives.

This month we partnered with the amazing ladies of Alpha Kappa, alpha Sorority Incorporated to host an intimate conversation, called Sipll the Tea on Black in Mental Health.

At this event community members: men women, young and old were invited to local, black Therapist and mental health professionals for an intimate discussion to begin getting the conversation started. We were truly amazed that this event sold out and also that attendees were so willing and eager to participate.

Sometimes it can feel as though we are alone in many situations, and this event truly showed us that our community wants, needs, and is ready for more mental health focused programming.

We are so excited to continue this endeavor in the years to come. If you are interested in partnering with us on Black mental health initiatives, please email hi@clarksvill.com

Thank you again to all of the mental health professionals who supported us through this event.
